Mrs. Tjireya Tjitendero

Biography

Mrs. Tjitendero is a researcher and a writer within the field of international relations and development, and a project manager by training.  She has worked with Namibia’s Minister of Health and Social Services; in civil society with the Pan-African Leadership Development Institute and Foundation, and the American Red Cross; and in international organizations with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Mrs. Tjitendero holds an undergraduate degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College in California, with a focus on human rights and international organizations.

A dual citizen of Namibia and the United States, Mrs. Tjitendero has lived and worked in Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Namibia, the United States, and Zambia and has served on different local and regional administrative Bahá’í institutions.  She speaks English, French and Spanish, and working-level Afrikaans, German and Otjiherero.
